Shared Vision
Volume II
Through the eyes of Gilbert & George
Alan Hollinghurst's The Line of Beauty
This unique signed hand bound volume comes enclosed in a specially hand made solander box together with a print signed by Gilbert and George.

A stunning volume exploring the shimmering physical and political landscape of 1980s' London through the eyes of some of the most talented artists working today. Both art and text explore themes of class war, youth, and the quest for beauty, pleasure and identity. Brought together, these highly individual works reveal thought-provoking contrasts and unexpected sympathies - a startling candour, an uncompromising humour and a shared, deeply tragic, subtext.
Winners of the 1986 Turner Prize, Gilbert and George have achieved global fame and were recently the subject of the Tate Modern's largest ever retrospective for a 'single' artist. Alan Hollinghurst, similarly, is a multi-award winning novelist, whose finely crafted books have earned him a dedicated international following.
